BLUE VELVET 7 MINUTES IN HEAVEN

installation, sculpture, performance, 2016.

Marking the 30th anniversary of David Lynch’s Blue Velvet.  7 minutes in heaven is my original installation and performance inspired by Dorothy Vallens and the American adolescent make out game of the same name. A stranger and I were in the dark for a minimum of  7 minutes what happens inside the “installation” for that time is a mystery.  7 hours a day for 7 days in the Apparatjik Suite of The Thief Hotel, Oslo, Norway.

AT&T, Direct TV describes “Dorothy Vallens” in David Lynch’s Blue Velvet  as a “floozy nightclub singer.”
